Your coach will pass the magnificent St. Isaac`s Cathedral, and the nearby Theater Square with the world famous Mariinski Theatre (better known as Kirov), the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, and the monuments to the distinguished composers Rimsky-Korsakov and Glinka. You will visit the Choral Synagogue. This Synagogue is the second largest in Europe and one of the most ornate synagogues in the world. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the life of the Jewish community during the Imperial and Bolshevik eras and in today's Russia. You will pass by the Yusupov Palace (once the wealthiest family in Russia), the Bronze Horseman in the Decembrists' Square. Across the Neva River are the oldest buildings of St. Petersburg, including the Menshikov Palace (the mansion of the first governor of St. Petersburg), the St. Petersburg University. On the opposite side of the Neva there stands out the Admiralty (ship yard) with its golden spire, which is a compositional center and one of the symbols of the city. To add it is a good orientation point. You will be drive along the Nevsky Prospekt, (avenue) the main street of St. Petersburg – a center of business, fashion, shopping, restaurants and five star hotels.
